Calls of Service with Monmouth Police Department Trending Upward

With January almost in the books for 2024, Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer shares year-end statistics from 2024:

“Total for 2024, we made 705 arrests; we issued 1,270 citations; calls that came into the dispatch center totaled 44,760; calls that the police department handled was 15,158; the dispatch center itself the incidents with all the agencies in the county 32,370; we handled 238 accidents; and the officers worked 519 grant hours.”

Compared to 2023, Chief Switzer reports those numbers have trended upward.
