Before winter break, the Monmouth-Roseville School District sent out a survey to collect data for strategic planning purposes. At the January Board of Education Meeting, a summary of the results was presented to the members, explains Superintendent Ed Fletcher:

“We are working with Dr. Tiffany Springer at Monmouth College, and she did some results for us. We had a good response, all in all we had 498 responses. Some of those were parents, staff, community members, and students. Folks were happy with our safety procedures that we have in our school district. They talked about good communication from our teachers to our parents. Some of the things they would like to see different is just continuing to improve our facilities, which we will do bathrooms, pending Board approval, at the Junior High this summer, but I think they would like to see a continued focus on that and a continued focus on the cleanliness, but all in all we are very happy with the results. Our parents feel like their kids are prepared for post-secondary activities, whether that is workforce, trade, or college. Of course, we are always trying to improve that, but the next step for us moving forward as an administrative team, sit down, really dive into the results, and we are hoping to present an updated strategic plan to the Board at our April 8th meeting.”

Additionally, Superintendent Fletcher reports Amy Freitag presented on the Multi-Language Learners Program to the Board of Education, where she stated that over 390 students are enrolled in the program, representing 27 different languages.
