Back to regular school days since winter break, a whole host of events are taking place at the Recharge Teen Center. Director Amy Rogers shares a Robotics Workshop Series is now underway, as are plans for an upcoming Youth Business Expo:

“We actually just kicked off a Robotics Unit that is brought to us by the 4-H with the Illinois Extension. We had our first one last Thursday and those are going to be every Thursday through about the middle of February from 5 to 7 pm. They have quite a big setup and I think the kids really enjoyed the first one. We are also in the process of planning a Youth Business Expo. It was kind of a brainchild of Kristyn Ferch from ISO Threads. She came to us saying that she really enjoyed starting her own business in this area, knows the ups and downs of it, and she wanted to be able to help some of the kids who are interested in doing their own thing or seeing how the entrepreneurial side of the world works.”

The Recharge Teen Center is currently operating under their winter hours; Mondays through Thursday 3 to 6 pm and Fridays 2 to 6 pm.
