With the forecasted snow that is to hit the local area, City of Monmouth Communications Director Ken Helms reminds motorists to slow down and plan for that extra travel time:
“When there is a storm, if you have to go to work, if you are still working regular hours during the snowstorm or right after it, make sure you leave a little bit early. When we go through our call statistics for motor vehicle accidents specifically, it is always right there around those times when there is a lot of commuters going into work because it spikes the traffic. Just taking an extra ten minutes to get there, driving at a slower pace, it really does make a difference.”
