Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending Dec. 29, 2024:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior girls basketball player, Tatianna Talivaa. Tatianna was outstanding at the Cliff Warkins Memorial Holiday Classic. She was named to the All-Tournament team by averaging a team-leading 14 points per game. Tatianna was a beast on the defensive end, as well, averaging five steals a game in the tournament.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior boys wrestler, Josiah Carter. Josiah took 2nd place in the Floyd Bee Memorial Holiday Tournament in Lincoln. In a loaded field of 28 wrestlers in the 150 pounds weight class, he placed 2nd, going (3-1) on the day. Josiah also placed 2nd at the Metamora Holiday Classic the week prior.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is junior girls bowler, Ryleigh Wasion. Ryleigh dominated the field at the Geneseo Invitational at the Arcadia Family Fun Center. She rolled the best 1-game score of 216 and the best 3-game series with a 593. Ryleigh’s 6-game total of 1064 was the only bowler with more than a thousand pins on the day.

There were no sporting activities for United and West Central.
