Zachary W. Wood, age 41, of Antioch, Illinois and formerly of Gladstone; passed away at 4:47 pm on Monday January 20th 2025 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois. Zachary was born on January 30, 1983 in Burlington, Iowa and is the son of Gary Lee and Patty Lee McGraw Wood. He was raised in Gladstone where he attended local schools and graduated from Union High School. He then attended and graduated from Augustana College majoring in Computer Science and Technology. Zachary was formerly married to Leslie Bradford and they had one daughter. Zachary has been employed by several computer companies in the Chicago area as a Computer Tech. Zach has actively enjoyed sports while in High School and in his later years.

He is survived by his parents, Gary and Patty Wood of Gladstone, Illinois and his daughter Emmarsyn Wood in Indiana. His sister survives, Katie Sinkular and Jacob of Coal City, Illinois and his niece, Mckenna, and two nephews, Landon and Oakley Sinkular. There are  number of Uncles, Aunts, and other relatives surviving. He is preceded in his death by his grandparents and two uncles.

As were his wishes, cremation is to be accorded Zachary in Chicago, and his ashes to be returned to the care of Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka. His family plans interment of his ashes in Oquawka Cemetery at a later date. No current service or visitation is planned at present.
