Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon and Aggravated Assault

On February 1, 2025, Officers responded to a large fight in progress with about 30 people involved around Pierce and McArthur Street. As information came forward about the fight, officers were able to investigate further into the incident. Officers learned during the fight Robert H. Murdock pulled a gun, from his fanny pack, and pointed at subjects involved in the fight. Murdock was later located at his residence and taken into custody. A Glock 19 9mm with ammo and magazines were recovered at his residence. Murdock was transported to the McDonough County Jail and was processed, cited, and released per the Illinois SAFE-T Act. Murdock was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon and Aggravated Assault.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
