Learn Best Practices for Cover Crops: March 4th Meeting in Raritan

On March 4th, the Henderson County Soil and Water Conservation District will be hosting its Managing Covers and Nitrogen for Local Success informational Meeting in conjunction with Midwest Grass & Forage. Shawnee Sheehan, resource conservationist with the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District shares the meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 4th at the St. Patrick’s Community Center in Raritan.

“They’re going to be talking about the equipment set up, choosing the right cover crop for your soil type on your field, when you should be putting it on, when you should be terminating it, how you should be terminating it, and just kind of trying to tie all of that stuff together to make a good, successful package for individualized plans for landowners,” says Sheehan.
