Share

The McDonough County Sheriff’s Office is in search of information in reference to the January 21st homicide of 23-year-old Cheyenna Decker in Colchester. Anyone with information is encouraged to reach out to the Macomb Area Crime Stoppers, informs Sheriff Nick Petitgout:

“On January 21st, Cheyenna Decker was killed in her apartment in Colchester, Illinois, sometime in the early morning hours. Cheyenna worked at Casey’s; she was 23 years old. We are currently taking any and all information from the public to be able to assist us in that case. One of the things we are really looking for in information. Crime Stoppers in Macomb is 309-836-3222, you can call and remain anonymous. There is $1,000 cash reward through the Crime Stoppers. The corporate office for Casey’s General Store is willing to match the $1,000 for Crime Stoppers and I believe there is another $8,000 out there currently to bring that reward to $10,000 to someone who has information leading to the arrest and conviction capture of whoever killed Cheyenna.”

Sheriff Petitgout reports the Illinois State Police Zone 4, the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office, the Macomb Police Department, Colchester City Police Department, an individual with the Attorney General’s Office specializing in computer crimes are all assisting with this ongoing investigation.
