Monmouth Fire Chief Casey Rexroat Announces Celebration of Anniversaries of Firemen

Monmouth Fire Chief Casey Rexroat is celebrating 20 years as a member of the department alongside Assistant Chief Craig Cozadd and Gary Carson.

“This past January we had three anniversaries at the fire station; first was Gary Carson, he is celebrating 12 years at the Monmouth Fire Department, he does a great job for us; we also have two other ones, Assistant Chief Craig Cozadd and myself, we were hired at the same time in 2005, and now we have 20 years with the department, very happy for that.”

Chief Rexroat says in his twenty years of service, prices for equipment have increased dramatically.

“This will always change, the money stuff, we bought two engines back in 2003-2004 and they were close to $500,000 for both engines. Now you can’t get one for less than $1 million, and that’s for one. Prices of things have gone up so much that it makes it hard for fire departments just to complete daily operations and buy the things they need to.”

The Monmouth Fire Department currently has a full-time staff of 15.
