February 27, 2025
On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at approximately 3:01am, a McDonough County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 in New Philadelphia, IL for traffic offenses. Upon contact with the driver and passengers of the vehicle, the deputy observed several indicators of criminal activity. The Sheriff’s Office K9, Vamos, responded to the scene. After a positive K9 alert for the presence of illegal narcotics, a probable cause search was conducted. Due to information gathered during the traffic stop and 25.23 grams of methamphetamine being confiscated, a search warrant was requested, issued, and executed. The search warrant was executed at 207 E. Poplar Street in Bardolph, IL where drug paraphernalia, packaging materials, and 7 firearms were located and seized.
The driver of this vehicle, Mark S. Livengood, age 50, from Macomb, IL was arrested for Speeding and Aggravated Driving while License Revoked, booked into the McDonough County Jail, and released with a Notice to Appear.
The backseat passenger, Pearly M. Hanshaw, age 40, from Macomb, IL was released from the traffic stop.
The front seat passenger, Walker K. Madison, age 30, from Bardolph, IL was arrested charged with the following:
– 7 counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (Class 3 felonies)
– Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver 15-100 grams (Class X felony)
– Possession of Methamphetamine 15-100 grams (Class 1 felony)
– 3 counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine under 5 grams (Class 2 felonies)
Walker K. Madison appeared in court on February 27, 2025 at 1:30pm for a Detention Hearing. Probable Cause was found and the Court found it necessary for Walker K. Madison to remain detained. His case has been continued.
All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
