144 were in attendance for the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Awards Dinner last Friday night at the Monmouth Country Club. Non-Profit of the Year was awarded to HighPoint Church. Pastor AJ Reynolds was very grateful:

“A few years ago, our mission shifted to not just loving the people that are in our pews but loving the community that was outside of it as well. What a privilege and honor to be able to help meet people’s physical needs, whether it be in the Care Center that we have, whether it be through the Thanksgiving Dinner, the HighPoint Care Center Christmas that we do in partnership with Toys for Tots, biblical counseling, all the different ways that we feel like Jesus is calling us to love our community, what a privilege it is to be doing that in a great community like Monmouth.”

Business of the Year went to the Patton Block Grill and Brew Pub. Manager Kevin Cerar said it has been a team effort since the very beginning:

“It has been a team effort from the very beginning, everybody has worked together; the owners Chris and Lisa, Brad and Steve; they didn’t have to do this, but they wanted to give something to Monmouth, something special. They have all worked very hard from day one. It has just been a team effort, that is what is so wonderful about it.”

And Citizen of the Year went to Joe Pilger:

“When I heard that I was nominated, I was taken aback. I love Monmouth and there were lots of great nominees, so when she said my name, I was a little bit surprised to be honest with you, but I love Monmouth. I think Titan Nation is the best nation there is. I love the organizations working together, I’m just happy to be a part of it.”

The 2025 Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Dinner marked their 106th year.
