2025 marks 125 years of Western Illinois University. This spring, enrollment is right around 5,700 students, reports Vice President of Student Success Justin Schuch:

“Our spring enrollment hovers around 5,700 students between Macomb, the Quad Cities, and online campuses. The undergraduate population is a little over 4,000 and our graduate student population is about 1,700 there. We are looking forward to continuing to stabilize and maintain that population into the future. Some of our program we are continuing to see a lot of excitement around our law enforcement, justice administration program; everything involved with that, whether it is emergency preparedness, fire protection services, psychology, as well as our health programs, nursing and speech pathology continues to be very popular. As we look at the offerings in the Quad Cities, education and engineering.”

Additionally, the $130 million Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts structure on the WIU campus in Macomb is taking shape, with more facilities and classroom renovation projects to be completed in the future.
