Learn the basics of being an effective umpire and take home resources to reference. Must register by Tuesday, April 1st to participate. Clinic will be held Tuesday, April 8th at 5:30 pm at the West Central Ball Diamonds in Stronghurst. HCHSBA will pay $30-$40 per game in Stronghurst, plus new opportunities will be available to umpire in Oquawka. This clinic is for any high school student. This does not get attendees any kind of official certification, but West Central Athletic Director Mr. Joel Zaiser would be happy to help start that process through IHSA. There is an opportunity for high school students to get patched, but it requires a longer course. This clinic is intended to help local summer ball associations.
