The Monmouth Fire Department will be testing this June, informs Fire Chief Casey Rexroat:
“This will be for entry level testing to form a list, that will last for two years, to hire new firefighters from. The actual test date will be June 21st. If anybody is interested, you must be 21 years old and under 35 years old. There are certain conditions that allow 35 and over to apply; that is those that were in the military or already have been on a fire department for quite a while. If you have never had any fire experience or haven’t been in the military, you must be 21 and under 35 in order to apply. Also, a high school diploma or GED is a requirement, a valid driver’s license, and once you are hired, you must reside within 20 miles of the City of Monmouth.”
In February, the Monmouth Fire Department celebrated service anniversaries for five members: Firefighter Dan Chard with 24 years, Captain Travis Bitner with 22 years, Captain Tyler Osborn with 7 years, Firefighter Paul Mangieri with 3 years, and Firefighter Devin Bemowski with 2 years.
