Monmouth-Roseville Titan Softball Finally Finds a Permanent Home

Share

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan softball team was supposed to get their season underway on Wednesday at Stark County but the torrential downpour that rolled through put a halt on things all over the listening area. The Titans home opener scheduled for Thursday against Galva has also been postponed. That game will be made up on Friday night. Monmouth-Roseville softball has a permanent home now at South Park in Monmouth. The Titans called Monmouth Park home for the past several seasons and spent one year at South Park while the outfield at Monmouth Park was being repaired from damage from the Prime Beef Festival, which is also held at Monmouth Park. Many improvements have already been made to South Park, with more being planned.

Monmouth-Roseville head coach Jarrod Hippen hopes to put a solid team on the new and improved Home of the Titans. Despite his ball club going (2-18) in 2024, he felt the program made strides forward. The Titans are a part of the TRAC West Division, which is also the same division as the Rockridge Rockets, who have won four class 2A state titles in the past 6 years, the Sherrard Tigers, who won 21 games last season, the Riverdale Ram, who won 20 games in 2024, and now the Mercer County Golden Eagles, who won 19 games last spring. Coach Hippen said on the Thursday WRAM Morning Show that although the player participation numbers are down this season, he likes the makeup of his current club going into the season.

After a couple of games that were weathered-out, the Titans will try to open their season at home on Friday against Galva.
