United Red Storm Softball Coach Already Seeing Improvement

Share

The United Red Storm softball season has gotten off to a rocky start with losses in their first four games. United has taken two long road trips and played through tough weather conditions in three of them. The Red Storm sport a young roster, with no seniors and a plethora of freshman and sophomores. United lost two pitchers to graduation from last year’s squad. Those two had pitched the majority of innings the past two years. A young roster and an inexperienced pitching staff has led to some growing pains but new head coach Mike Maguire has already seen progress in just three short weeks.

The Red Storm is scheduled to head to South Fulton tonight and then go to Bushnell-Prairie City on Wednesday.
