Chance Encounters Take Center Stage During ‘This Random World’ with the Prairie Players Civic Theatre

For the next two weekends in April, the Prairie Players Civic Theatre will be presenting ‘This Random World: The Myth of Serendipity.’ Cast member Ryan Bowman previews what audience members can expect during the production:

“To give a basic synopsis of the play, this bittersweet comedy, written by Steven Dietz and directed by Todd Quick, follows intersecting stories of family members and strangers who unknowingly cross paths, revealing how chance encounters and missed opportunities define our relationships. With humor and heart, it delves into the randomness of life and the human condition. This is a show that it has no specific timeframe, this is not in the past, it is not some weird near future thing, this is present time as it is. This could be something that happens on the street randomly at any moment, even in today’s age as well. I would say it is probably one of the most accessible plays that a lot of people with enjoy as well.”

Performances for ‘This Random World: The Myth of Serendipity’ at the Prairie Players Civic Theatre, will be held at 7:30 pm of Fridays April 4^th and 11^th and the Saturdays of April 5^th and 12^th. Matinee performances will be at 2 pm the Sunday afternoons of April 6^th and 13^th. Tickets are $16 for adults and $9 for students, plus fees.
