Julie Ann Lowe, age 57, of Lomax, Illinois, passed away Monday March 31, 2025 at Goldwater Care Center in Roseville, Illinois.  She was born November 29, 1967 in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Linda Dowell Lowe.  

Julie lived in Carroll, Iowa for many years, where she attended Carroll Community Schools, and graduated from Des Moines Area Community College.  She  enjoyed knitting, cross stitch, crocheting and sewing.  She donated over 300 hand made quilts to local hospitals. When she was younger, she enjoyed writing poetry and short stories.

Survivors include her parents, of Lomax, one brother, Mark (Linda) Lowe of West Des Moines, IA, two nieces, Mary (Adam Bodensteiner) Lowe, and Erin Lowe, and two nephews, Dan Lowe and Matt (Alanna) Lowe.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025 in the Lomax Christian Church,  with Pastor Maxine Dennison officiating.  Burial will follow in the Carman Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Memorials have been established for the Lomax Fire Department and the Lomax Christian Church.  Please visit Julie’s obituary at banksandbeals.com to leave a condolence.
