The Monmouth Community Childcare Center is now enrolling children from the age of six weeks old up to twelve years old, reports Jamieson Community Center Executive Director Nancy Mowen:
“We have many classrooms at the center and just really look forward to serving families. Anna Brody is our director. She was formerly the Closing Director at Learning Connections in Galva. Our staff that we have on board are very excited for this program. We are using the Reggio Emilia-inspired approach. The teachers really observe the children, look at what their interested in and then they expand on that interest. When we are fully staffed, we will have spaces for 68 children. That will be eight infants, ten toddlers, sixteen two-year-olds, ten three- to five-year-olds, and twenty school aged children. At the present time we are only accepting full time children.”
The Monmouth Community Childcare Center, located at 120 South Sunny Lane, will be opened with limited hours to start from 7:30 am to 5 pm. For more information, or to enroll a child, visit jamiesoncommunitycenter.org.
