Monmouth-Roseville Softball Coach Jarrod Hippen Happy with Progress

The Monmouth Roseville Titans softball team sport an overall record of (3-6) through their firs nine games. The Titans have already surpassed their win total from all of 2024. Last Thursday, the Titans traveled to Illini West for a non-conference match up with the Chargers. The game was knotted up at 1-all heading into the 6th inning. The Titans would end up on the losing end, 6-1. Offensively, Jazmyn Copeland led the way for Monmouth-Roseville with 3 hits.

On Monday, the Titans started TRAC West Division play, taking on Riverdale at South Park in Monmouth. The Titans dropped this one, 18-2. Molly McVey contributed in the losing effort going 2-2 with the only 2 rbis of the day.

Monmouth Roseville had a chance to get back on the field on Wednesday night, traveling to Ridgewood to take on the class 1A defending state champion Spartans. The Titans gave up a quick 5 runs in the first innings, before settling down and allowing only two runs in the final six innings. The damage had already been done and Monmouth-Roseville wasn’t able to overcome the early deficit, falling 7-3.

Monmouth Roseville will have a chance to avenge Monday’s loss to Riverdale ast they travel to Port Byron for the second West Division match up tonight. On Monday, the Titans will head to Orion as they continue TRAC West play. Monmouth Roseville will host Bushnell-Prairie City on Wednesday at South Park in Monmouth.
