The Monmouth-Roseville Titan baseball squad currently holds a record of (3-5) at the quarter-pole of the schedule. The Titans hosted West Hancock last Thursday. The Titans took a 5-0 lead into the top of the 7th before having to hang on to get a 5-3 victory. The Titans would make a quick turn-around and head to Kewanee High School on Friday. Monmouth-Roseville fell 6-1 to the Boilermakers in a TRAC cross-division match up. Nick Huston led the way for the Titans in the losing effort, going 3-for-4 and scoring the lone Monmouth-Roseville run. On Monday, the Titans were at home for their TRAC West Division opener against Riverdale. Freshman Tyler Carlson went 1-for-3 with an rbi as the Titans lost to the Rams 10-2.
Head coach of Monmouth-Roseville, Mike Huston, says the upcoming schedule looks favorable on paper but that all depends on his club’s mentality heading into the match ups.
Weather permitting, Monmouth-Roseville hosts Bushnell-Prairie City tongiht at Sunny Lane Field in Monmouth. On Thursday, the Titans travel to Riverdale for the second of the 2-game TRAC West Division series. Monmouth-Roseville will try to avenge their loss to the Rams on Monday. Looking ahead to next week, the Titans will be at Orion on Monday and will try to take down a solid Alleman Pioneer squad on Tuesday in Rock Island.
