Monmouth Roseville finished up another busy week of Spring sports on Saturday. Monmouth Roseville Baseball began TRAC West Division play last week with two games against Riverdale. The Titans dropped game 1 at home on Monday 10-2. Monmouth Roseville took a quick break from Riverdale to host Bushnell Prairie City on Wednesday. The Titans offense broke out, beating the Spartans 12-3. Senior Max Ferguson led the way on the mound and at the plate. Ferguson pitched 6 innings, only allowing 3 hits and 3 runs and at the plate Ferguson was 2 for 4 with 2 rbis. Landyn Angelo also contributed a homerun, the Titan’s first as a team, in the blowout win. The Titans had a quick turn around heading to Riverdale on Thursday. Monmouth suffered their second loss of the season to the Rams, falling 10-0. Monmouth Roseville Baseball currently holds a record of 4-6.
Like the baseball team, the Titans softball squad also got things started last week with Riverdale at home at South Park in Monmouth. The Titans took a 18-2 loss to a very good Ram’s ballclub. They were back on the diamond Wednesday to take on the defending 1A state champ Ridgewood Spartans. The Titans surrendered 5 runs in the bottom of the first inning and wasn’t able to overcome the early deficit, falling 7-3. The Titans headed to Riverdale for another TRAC West Matchup for their final game of the week on Thursday. Runs were scarce in this one and the Titans fall 3-1. Olivia Register pitched a solid 6 innings for the Titans, only allowing 9 hits and 3 runs to a powerful Rams lineup.
After a slow start, Monmouth Roseville girl’s soccer is putting together an impressive win streak and Monmouth Roseville Athletic Director Jeremy Adolphson is here to tell us about it.
The Titans will put their 5 game winning streak on the line today as they travel to take on Mendota. On Thursday, Monmouth Roseville will host Galesburg. You can hear it on AM 1330/FM 95.7 WRAM with the pregame show at 6:10, kickoff is 6:30.
Monmouth-Roseville Baseball will get their week underway tonight as they head to Orion. On Tuesday, the Titans will travel to take on a solid Alleman Pioneers team. Thursday, Monmouth Roseville will host Orion and Saturday the Titans will head to Princeton for TRAC cross division matchup.
Titans Softball will also start their week at Orion today, before heading to Bushnell-Praire City on Wednesday and then host Orion on Thursday. Monmouth Roseville will finish off their week at Princeton on Saturday.
