Today is National Fentanyl Awareness Day, first observed four years ago by parents who lost their loved ones to drug overdoses.  The goal is to remind people of the many deaths each year caused by fentanyl and to spread the word about Naloxone, a medication that can reverse an opioid overdose.  Progress has been made on bringing down the number of overdose deaths in recent years, but fentanyl is still the number one killer.
