Warren County Property Taxes

Share

From Danielle B. Cox, Warren County Treasurer:

Since property tax time is upon us, I wanted to provide some information but before I do that, a special thanks goes out to all the banks and tellers that assist our office each year in collecting tax payments! The picture below shows all the banks within Warren County that collect tax payments. New banks this year that will assist in collections are Raritan State Bank of Raritan and Abingdon along with ALL Warren County banks.

A quick background on the property tax cycle: In preparation to start to generate tax bills, this requires assistance from the Illinois Department of Revenue, Warren County Assessor, Clerk and Treasurer. It’s a very lengthy process that takes several months to complete and finalize. The Treasurer’s office is the last office to be involved in the preparation stage. With that being said, I expect to be mailing out tax bills around the beginning of May but please do not quote me on that as I’m just trying to provide updates as I get them. The best I can provide to Warren County as of today is expect tax bills to be due the beginning to middle part of June and September. As soon as I get final confirmation that bills are ready to print, I will share this information.

As a friendly reminder we do now offer property tax bills to be viewed online (see picture for link). This year’s tax bill will not be available online until the bills are mailed.

Please remember that our office accepts pre-payments up until we mail tax bills!
