On Saturday, April 12th, the Henderson County Health Department will be hosting a free When Life Gives You Lemons Health and Wellness Fair from 9 am to 1 pm. Community Health Worker Karen Cole previews some of the screenings, resources, and activities that will be on-hand:

“There are so many activities and children’s activities. We have speakers that will be talking about ten early signs on dementia, also Jewel’s Journey for her breast cancer journey. Many people don’t realize that one in eight women will have breast cancer, so it is very important to have your yearly checkups and to do personal checks yourself. There will also be speakers about adaptive equipment for people that have had strokes or Parkinson’s. The Narcan man will be there, Jeff McFadden, talking about recovery is possible and probable.”

The Henderson County Health Department is located at 208 West Elm Street in Gladstone.
