Wisconsin Football’s Charles Perkins Talks about Redshirt Decision

University of Wisconsin Defensive Lineman, Charles Perkins, is a firm believer in the redshirt year. In the NCAA all college athletes are allowed a redshirt year, this means the player will participate in games, team events and practices like a normal player. But a redshirt player can only appear in a set amount of games. If the athlete stays under the maximum number of games, they are awarded an extra year of eligibility. Perkins reflects on his decision to redshirt.

Redshirting is not the best for everyone, but for Perkins it was . Perkins a redshirt junior, will make his Badger debut August 28 at Camp Randall.
