Another successful school year is in the books for the students in the Abingdon-Avon School District. At the high school, all 70 seniors graduated and will be heading a variety of directions next fall, states Principal Kristi Anderson:

“We had all 70 kids; 100 percent graduation rate this year. We were able to spotlight a lot of our kids that are going into the trades, different careers they are headed for, our military kids, it was a great night to highlight all of the accomplishments of these kids of the last year. This year we had 34 kids participate in the GAVC programs with Galesburg. We had five kids graduate as dual credits from Carl Sandburg. We actually had 25 kids participate in our dual credit program, so five graduated with their degrees and the others got classes so they are able to move on into college and have some things out of the way. We have three kids going into the military. We just have a very high achieving group of kids.”
