Glasses Do More Than Help You See

Share

Wearable, hands-free technology has expanded to glasses, explains Kehoe Eye Care Optical Manager Taylor Swanson:

“The Meta glasses are a wearable technology frame. You have everything basically that your phone can do, just wearing it on your face. They are really great for lots of different aspects of life. It is great to be able to say, ‘hey Meta take a picture’ or ‘hey Meta take a video.’ The newest update also does have live translation, which you just say, ‘hey Meta start live translation’ and they can translate right now to French, Spanish, and Italian. That can be to you or when you are talking as well. Additionally, the Nuance frames also are offered at all three of our Kehoe Eye Care locations, Galva, Monmouth, and Galesburg. They are a hearing amplifier, so it really helps when you are in noisy situations.”

The content captured by the Meta glasses is stored through the downloaded Meta AI app on your cell phone, which can then be imported into your media library.
