Another Community Fund Grant Cycle with the Galesburg Community Foundation has come to a close. Over $35,000 was awarded through 29 grants across the communities served in Warren and Knox Counties. Roseville Community Fund Member Carol Shaw reports four organizations received grants:
“Every year we help the Downtown Village with their flower program, so we did that again this year. We awarded to CASA of West Central Illinois to help with their volunteer recruitment and volunteer supervision. We did a grant to the Warren County Historical Society for storage and expansion, and we did a grant to Triumph Services for Camp Kidz.”
Seven organizations throughout Monmouth were recipients of this grant cycle, informs Community Fund Member Trevor Davies:
“For the Monmouth Community Fund this year, we were able to help the Warren County Public Library with their Summer Reading program, the Buchanan Center for the Arts with their Arts for All program, we also gave to CASA for their volunteer recruitment and supervision, and we helped the Warren County YMCA with their camp building enhancement. The First Christian Church needed a glass door cooler and freezer for their food pantry. Highpoint Church always does their Community Thanksgiving every year, which is a wonderful program for the community, so we helped them with that. Then also with the W
The next annual grant cycle with the Galesburg Community Foundation, The Turnout, is now open for all 501(c)(3) non-profit or public charities, churches, schools, and government agencies serving Knox, Warren, and Henderson Counties. Applications for The Turnout grants must be submitted by May 15th.
