Mayor Davies Outlines Vision for Center of Downtown Monmouth

Share

As construction crews continue to make their way around the square in Downtown Monmouth, Mayor Rod Davies explains the vision for the center area, which will accompany the maple leaf rotating sculpture being installed in place of the fountain:

“They are going to redo the curb around the outside. There is also going to be some plantings and there will be lights there. The VFW is going to begin, I think next week, moving their monument from the VFW to the center square by the flagpole and the light that is going to be up there. Also, I think one tree will come out and two trees will be going in.”

Lighting has also been installed in the northeast and northwest quadrants.
