Following the retirement announcement of Jodi Scott, Kathryn Jennings has been appointed to the role of Regional Superintendent of the Regional Office of Education #33 (ROE), serving Henderson, Knox, Mercer, and Warren Counties on July 1, 2025. Throughout her 17 years in education, Kathryn has held positions in the ROWVA, Abingdon-Avon, Monmouth-Roseville, Nielson Elementary, Lombard Middle School, and the Dunlap School Districts, creating relationships that will carry over in her role as Regional Superintendent:
“Really had an opportunity in the last four years and even really the 17 years that I have been an educator, to reach out and be a part of all of the districts and get to know the administrators there and really continue the work that is already at the ROE. It has been built, it is a beautiful system, and our goal is always to get into the schools and serve them; find out what it is they need and fill those gaps and making sure that those relationships are strong. Right now, we have nine departments at the ROE and serve from prenatal all the way through adulthood and the goal is to continue that work, continue to reach out to the districts. I think Jodi and Lori have done a fantastic job of always connecting with the administrators and how we play a role in filling gaps, so continuing those partnerships will be key.”
Along with Jodi, current Assistant Regional Superintendent Lori Loving will also be retiring on July 1, 2025. Monmouth-Roseville Assistant Principal of Student Achievement and Support Services Emily Adolphson will be taking on the role of that position at the ROE, serving alongside Jennings.
