The annual ‘Excellence in Education’ banquet with the Regional Office of Education #33 is being held this Thursday, May 8th at The Vault in Galesburg. Regional Assistant Superintendent Lori Loving shares the night provides an opportunity to celebrate the teachers and educators:

“The whole purpose of the event is just to show our appreciation to the teachers and getting a group of committed educators in the room is a great energy and it just feels so good to see those teachers be honored for the work they do. They all get little plaques for the nomination they get from their school district and then we chose a couple of people for the entire region that gets the ROE’s ‘Excellence Award’ and they get a nice trophy that they get to take with them. We always like to have a fun theme, so this year it is the ‘Wizard of Oz’ theme.”

The Regional Office of Education #33 serves nine school districts in Henderson, Mercer, Knox, and Warren Counties.
