United Red Storm Girls Track Brings Home Three Medals from IHSA State Finals

The United Red Storm girls track team brought home three medals from the IHSA class 1A state finals on Saturday in Charleston. The 4×200 relay team placed 2nd, the 4×400 relay crossed the finish in 3rd and the 4×100 relay team was 5th. Each team was made up of seniors Rosie and Katie Flynn and Emrick Huston and sophomore Callie Hall. All three relay teams brought home hardware in 2024 as well. In and extremely fast race, the 4×400 relay team broke the United school record by five seconds in just over 4 minutes. That time was just a little over a second behind the first place team on Saturday. With the points from those three finishes, the Red Storm placed 16th in the state in the team standings.
