The Knox County CEO Program has wrapped up their seventh year with the group presenting their businesses at a Trade Show, explains Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer:
“This is our entrepreneurship program for high school juniors and seniors. The year ended with a public Trade Show, which was hosted by our partners at Carl Sandburg College in their beautiful new Student Center building. We had seven students in the program this year and each of them unveiled their businesses and sold to the community. One had a social media marketing company. Another student had an auto detailing business. We had a student that actually launched a high school sports reporting publication. We had a student had a public safety non-profit, a student that had a dog treat business, and then we had a bakery this year.”
Springer reports recruitment and orientation for the Class of 2026 is now complete and twelve students from Knox County and the United School District will be a part of next year’s class.
