On 06/06/25 at about 6:44 AM, Macomb officers were dispatched to the 200 block of E. Wheeler St. for a report of a stabbing. A male victim was taken to McDonough District Hospital for treatment. He has since been released and is expected to make a full recovery. The suspect was on scene when officers arrived and was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was booked in the McDonough County Jail. Detectives then executed a search warrant of the residence for evidence. Detectives are processing items of evidence currently.
Charges levied against the suspect are Aggravated Domestic Battery and Aggravated Battery with a Weapon. A detainment hearing is scheduled at a later time, as per the Safe-T Act.
Suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
