Galesburg Legion Post 285 Baseball Falls in Battle of Omaha Championship

The Galesburg Legion Post 285 baseball team ended their terrific run through the Battle of Omaha Tournament in Nebraska yesterday with a loss in the championship game to a very good Nevada Sparks ballclub 7-1. Galesburg won their semifinal game earlier in the day yesterday, beating the Central Oregon Generals 7-4. Miles Hoops had three hits for Galesburg, with Jameson Dickerson and Hayden Ralston each having two hits. Ian Leffler and Braley Burford both drove in a pair of runs apiece. Galesburg was held to four hits in the championship match up against Nevada. Galesburg goes (4-1) in the tournament and are now (10-3) overall. After some time off, Post 285 will go to Princeton next Tuesday.
