High-speed fiber internet builds continue to expand with MTC Communications, shares Marketing Director Rachel Kerns:

“We are currently building in Bushnell, and we have east of the highway finished. Then we are working between east of the tracks and east of the highway at this point in time. We are hoping to have that finished in the next couple of months, then we will be working on the west side of the tracks. We are also doing a little bit of expansion here and there in Macomb, getting more customers connected. We just finished Hidden Hills this past fall and this spring we have been working on more drops, additional connections. Then of course, all the drops that have been going in throughout Monmouth, throughout Cameron, throughout Kirkwood, and the surrounding areas.”

Kerns also shares they are 20 miles in on the build construction with the ReConnect Grant, which was an $18 million grant from the USDA to provide high-speed internet to over 1,000 rural customers in Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, and Warren Counties.
