The 47th Annual Leatherneck Club Golf Classic was held on Monday, June 2 at the Harry Mussatto Golf Course at Western Illinois University in Macomb. A total of 136 golfers participated in this event with 34 teams competing in two flights. The Leatherneck club raised just under $12,000 during the event.
With the Championship Flight team of Seth Minter, Jake Mann, Matt Lawver, JD Gravina declared winners with a low gross score of 56. Taking 2nd Place in the Championship Flight went to the team of Mike Woodrum, Todd Gilliland, Tim Bainter, Mike Eckhardt with a score of 57.
The winning team in the First Flight had to also be determined through a score-card playoff with multiple teams tied with a 65. After a scorecard playoff based upon handicapped holes, 1st Place in the First Flight was awarded to the team of Mike Clemens, Gregg Snyders, Scott Lee, and Lucas Utter while 2nd Place in the First Flight went to the team of Marc Gamage, Nick Knowles, Steve Knowles, and Brain Spotts.

This event has been able to raise over $10,000 for the Athletic Department the past two years, which greatly benefits the department and its student-athletes! The 48th Annual Leatherneck Golf Classic is scheduled for Monday, June 1st.
