The 2nd Ward Alderman vacancy on the Monmouth City Council has been filled. Mayor Rod Davies appointed Scott Weber to serve a two-year term:
“I filled a vacancy we had on City Council for 2nd Ward Alderman. No one ran for that position in the election, so I appointed Scott Weber to fill that vacancy. I can appoint for two years. Council did approve that appointment. Scott has been a resident of Monmouth since the mid-1990s, he has raised three children here and has been very involved in the community. He has a very strong business background, and I think Scott’s leadership and dedication will be good to serve as a member of the City Council.”
Mayor Davies also appointed Mark Crain to fill a vacancy on the Zoning Board of Appeals, which was approved by the Monmouth City Council.
