Following a public hearing, the Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education approved an amended budget, reports Superintendent Ed Fletcher:

“We ended up with a balanced budget, no deficit reduction plans. One thing that I mentioned to the Board is that things are getting more expensive. Whether it is construction, things in our operations and maintenance fund, or transportation, which has really, really exploded in costs, associated with leases. That is one area that we don’t have any control over. You have to have busses. We rotate them out. We switched to a five-year lease cycle instead of a three year to try and reduce those costs over time.”

The next regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting for the Monmouth-Roseville School District is Tuesday, July 15th at 6 pm.
