Our Monmouth/Galesburg area high school baseball and softball conferences are beginning to release their all-conference teams. Next up is the Prairieland Conference. Looking at the baseball side, Brimfield/Elmwood is the conference champions. The Indians were a perfect (9-0) in league play. Macomb was second at (8-1), followed by Farmington at (7-2) and the Lewistown/North Fulton co-op at (6-3). As far as the all-conference teams, Macomb had two players make the 1st team in junior Nick Elbe and senior Langdon Lambert. Juniors Drew Watson and Emmett Beck were named to the second team. West Prairie was represented by sophomore Matthew Whitman was a first team member, with his teammate junior Austin Nelson on the second team. On the softball side, Macomb senior Kendyl Danner was a first team selection. She was joined by teammates, freshmen Kinley Sloan and Josie Elbe and seniors Nika Daytner and Olivia Whitney on the second team. The regular season Prairieland Conference softball championship was won by Brimfield/Elmwood at (8-0). Farmington, at (7-1) and Havana, at (6-2), followed right behind the Lady Indians.
