Applications for Jamieson Community Center’s S.T.A.R.S. program, Students To Arrive Ready for School, are currently being accepted for this next school year, explains Executive Director Nancy Mowen:

“Any student in Warren County, kindergarten through 8th grade, families can call us at 309-734-4251 to sign up. They will talk to Tre and Tre will gather their information. We will ask for the school their child will be attending and the grade level. Then, we gather the school supply lists from all the school, so we know exactly what each child needs on that first day of school. Community National Bank has sponsored this program for many years and area churches also contribute. We ask each church to contribute one specific item, and they respond wonderfully to make sure our kids are taken care of.”

The deadline to submit applications for the S.T.A.R.S. program is the third Friday in July.
