With the new design of the Public Square in Downtown Monmouth, snow removal has been an important topic of discussion. Public Works Director Brayden Bledsoe states there is a plan in place:

“We are going to have to do a lot of work with hauling it off. We don’t have enough room really to store it anywhere on the square. So, we are either going to be hauling it off or maybe keeping it there in the center if it gets too bad.”

Meanwhile, Mayor Rod Davies informs the city has received word that the engineering design work for the 200 blocks of north and south Main Street can begin the first of September, with hopes of construction to take place next spring.
