Across the nine school districts in Henderson, Mercer, Knox, and Warren Counties, the Regional Office of Education #33 serves 11,000 students. With the retirement of Jodi Scott and Lori Loving, Assistant Superintendent Emily Adolphson shares the vision of service and focus her and Regional Superintendent Kathryn Jennings this next school year and beyond:
“Communication is going to be huge, both internally and externally. It is part of the strategic plan that Katie and I have to support Katie in this role and help the community get to know her. Strategic planning in general is also a huge part of that. That is going to be the second stage of the game. We are very lucky to be receiving this incredible gift of these positions and what the ROE already is ad what Lori and Jodi have built, for us to come in and already have these incredible things in place, but also just be Emily and Katie to support it. That kind of rolls into the third one, which is building on the foundation that has already been created for us. We have such a strong foundation and the branches that we are going to be able to go out beyond what they have left us is something that we are very lucky to be sitting where we are sitting.”
The Regional Office of Education has nine departments that serve the local school districts and communities by providing educational resources, partnerships, and opportunities.
