The Monmouth-Roseville Titan soccer program is entering a brand new era this season under the leadership of newly appointed head coach Sebastian Neto. Originally from Brazil, Neto came to the United States to continue his soccer playing career at Carl Sandburg College. He was a key member of the Chargers’ historic 2021 team, which made the program’s first and only appearance in the national tournament. Since then, Neto has remained active in the local soccer scene, holding coaching roles at the Monmouth YMCA and with the Galesburg 19U squad. Voluntary practices for the Titans boys’ team have officially begun, giving Neto his first opportunity to connect with the players, he shares how the early segment has unfolded.

The Titans boys soccer team will open their season on August 26 against the Riverdale Rams at the Pattee Fields in Monmouth.
