The start of the West Harlem Avenue reconstruction project in Monmouth has been delayed, informs Mayor Rod Davies:

“They got delayed because of some of the underground piping and underground manholes and things like that, that they have to do the underground first. IDOT insists on that. They had ordered those items as soon as they received their award and hopefully that gets resolved. We were hoping maybe they could start on sidewalks and that, but IDOT is very insistent on the underground first.”

The delay is anticipated to last three to four weeks.
