West Central CUSD #235 in collaboration with Regional Office of Education #33 will offer free developmental check-ups at West Central Elementary School.  A developmental check-up will assess your child’s overall development.  The ESI – R test evaluates visual-motor skills, language and cognition skills, as well as gross motor skills.  Staff will be available to conduct hearing, vision, and speech/language screenings. After your child completes the tests, the results will be explained by our highly qualified staff.

When you participate in screening you can learn more about preschool opportunities for your child. Families interested in Preschool for All must bring a certified birth certificate and proof of state benefits and/or income information.  All students enrolling in West Central CUSD #235 must provide a certified copy of your child’s birth certificate, a current physical that includes immunization records with lead level results, and a dental exam as part of the enrollment process.  This is an opportunity to learn about your child’s development and Preschool at West Central Elementary.

Preschool Screening will be held on Friday, August 1st 10:00am – 1:00PM at the West Central Elementary School.  Parents as Teachers will offer birth to three year old screenings by appointment.  Children must be three years old on or before August 1st to be eligible for preschool screening. Appointments are required for all screenings.  Please allow a minimum of one hour for your child to complete the screening process. To schedule an appointment today contact Jaime Shultz shultz-jaime@wc235.k12.il.us or (309)627-2371.
