WNBA Players Angle For More Pay

Players in Saturday night’s WNBA All-Star Game are demanding higher pay. The stars wore T-shirts during warm-ups with the message, “Pay Us What You Owe Us.” The move comes as the players are in collective bargaining agreement talks. They argue that the league is making more money through a new two-point-two-billion dollar rights deal and the 250-million-dollar expansion fee teams have to pay to get in the league. The WNBA reportedly lost 40-million-dollars in 2024 season.
