Mayor Schwartzman is now receiving applications for the position of Galesburg, Ward 1 Councilor. To receive an application, contact the City Clerk or email the Mayor directly at pschwart@ci.galesburg.il.us. Applications are due by September 3, 2025 (10 PM).
Mayor Schwartzman will be looking for a community member that:
(1) has a history of community engagement and connection; and, (2) has a working knowledge of City government (and current events). If appointed, the new Council member will serve through April 2027. Interested parties who live in Ward 1 should apply.
